An MoU was signed between Icelandic company Verkis Consulting Engineers and the Government of Uttarakhand in Dehradun on 17th January 2025.

On January 17, 2025, the Icelandic company Verkis Consulting Engineers and the Uttarakhand government signed an MoU in Dehradun. This Memorandum of Understanding was signed to explore and develop geothermal energy in the region.

The agreement was signed in the presence of the Honourable Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami and the Ambassador of Iceland H.E. Mr. Benedikt Hoeskudlsson.
