New COVID-19 measures at the Icelandic border
The following new COVID-19 measures took effect at midnight (GMT 00:00) on 27 July 2021, and be in force until 15th August 2021:
As of 27th July, all vaccinated persons and those who can present a certificate of a prior COVID-19 infection must present a negative RT-PCR or antigen (rapid) test that is no more than 72 hours old before departure to Iceland.
Unvaccinated individuals will continue to be required to present a negative RT-PCR test results no more than 72 hours old before departure to Iceland, and undergo double RT-PCR screening with a five day quarantine in between.
Children born in 2005 or later will continue to be exempted from all border measures.
