High Level Meeting on Free Trade between EFTA and India
High-level delegations from India and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) met in New Delhi on 26th April 2023 with Mr Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry of India, to boost bilateral trade and economic partnership and to discuss the prospects of resuming their negotiations towards a Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA). Participating were Jan Christian Vestre, Minister of Trade and Industry of Norway, Helene Budliger Artieda, Swiss State Secretary at the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO, Martin Eyjólfsson, Permanent Secretary of State at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Iceland and Kurt Jäger, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Liechtenstein to EFTA, WTO and the UN in Geneva, as well as Henri Gétaz, Secretary General of EFTA.
