Ambassador Stefánsson presents his credentials in Bangladesh
On June 27 Ambassador Guðmundur Árni Stefánsson presented his credentials as Ambassador of Iceland to Bangladesh, with residence in India, to the President of Bangladesh, H.E. Abdul Hamid. After the ceremony the Ambassador had a discussion with the President on the relationship of the two countries, which includes fishing industry matters. Ambassador Stefánsson also met with Foreign Minister Abdul Momen. The Minister shared his concerns about climate change with the Ambassador and encouraged Iceland to use it's chairmanship of the Arctic Council to address the issue.
