Ambassador Thórir Ibsen met with Director General Li Jian of the European Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They discussed the good bilateral relations between Iceland and China, prosperous trade and rapidly increasing tourism. They furthermore discussed how to highlight the role of women in the geothermal and carbon capture cooperation of Iceland and China during the coming year when the 30th Anniversary of the Embassy of Iceland in China will be celebrated as well as that 30 years are since the UN Women´s Conference was held in Beijing in 1995. They also discussed global challenges including the prospect of continued multilateral cooperation to combat climate change and the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine.Efnisorð
