2023 China Marine Economy Expo and the Shenzhen International Marine Week

Ambassador Thórir Ibsen visited Shenzhen on the occasion of the China Marine Economy Expo and the Shenzhen International Marine Week. He addressed the opening of the China Marine Economy Expo and said that the Expo were an important platform for stakeholder dialogues and for promoting high tech innovations for the benefit of developing sustainable Blue Economy in China and beyond. He also spoke about the experience of Iceland of sustainable fisheries management and its benefits for innovation and sustainable economic growth at the opening of the Shenzhen Global Marine Economy Forum. Lastly, Ambassador Ibsen participated in panel discussion on Blue Food and shared some key lessons learned from sustainable fisheries management in Iceland which could be useful for other sustainable resource management.
